This page has been updated with all the latest items and/or changes I've made since building the Cobra. I've spent a lot of time and research before installing items and I know it has benefited many other owners.

For my 50th birthday month, I was picked as the "Picture of the Month" on www.ffcobra.com These pictures were taken at Mt. Rose parking lot during our Hot August Nights trip in 2002.

These are some of the specifications on FFR1812K:

FFR1812 Picked up September 2, 1999 and finished August 3, 2000.

Color is PPG "Blue Mist Pearl" with a Custom Pearl Paint over the entire car. It makes a change to a "cool" purple in different lighting.

Engine:
331 shortblock with World aluminum heads, Comp cam, 1.6 Comp roller rockers, Canton windage tray, Quality Roadsters Canton oil pan and oil filter adapter. Mass-Flo injection system with Victor Jr. manifold, 30# injectors, MSD distributor and 155lph in tank fuel pump. Engine was built by GMP in Santa Cruz. Currently using a TwEECer to tune the engine.

March underdrive pulleys and brackets for alternator and power steering. Heidts power steering valve and lines.

Transmisson is stock T5 with newly installed Quick Time bell housing (Feb. 2007).

Front Suspension:
FFR upper and lower tubular control arms with SN95 spindles and 2001 Mustang PBR aluminum twin piston calipers, PowerStop slotted rotors using Carbotech Panther Plus pads. Master cylinder is a 1984 manual.

Rear Suspension:
IRS is 1993 T-Bird with 3.27 gears and stock disc brake setup using Carbotech Super Street pads.

Shocks:
One of the biggest things I did was outfit the car with Koni adjustable shocks. I worked with Koni for six months to get shocks that would fit and work with the Factory Five Roadster. I was the first car to really use these shocks and it has and will be, a benefit to all who desire to purchase them. Although I don't sell these, you can get them direct from Koni or other vendors. My webpage describes it all.

Tires are Sumitomo HZ 255/50-16 rear and 225/50-16 front. Compomotive Halibrand wheels are used.

Suspension:
Front has Vintage Performance sway bar and 550# springs. Rear suspension hss 600# springs and Vintage Performance sway bar.

Interior has Bentley carpet, custom installed and Cobra classic seats with newly installed seat heaters (2007). Gauges are Autometer Sport Comp. Oh yeah, it has a heater too!

The body had numerous custom projects when building. I installed hidden hinges and gas shocks for the trunk and was the first to weld in the curved upper trunk bar for "full" access to the upper storage area. The lower trunk is "sunken" to enlarge the stowing capacity. Not as much as someone we know, but large for an IRS. I also have my battery located under the car and is accessible from the trunk with a removeable plate. The body itself had a lot of custom glass work and the final project shows. Body work was performed by AA Auto Collision in Santa Cruz, and I even got to help.

Two more curved bars were installed. One behind the rear bulkhead to support the body and keep the aluminum from flexing, and one at the firewall to do the same. I also have several other brackets that were glassed to the under body to bolt to the frame. A front hood support bar was also added.

All parts in the car were either new or rebuilt by me. I've been in the business over 35 years and this was a very fun project.

The car was built to drive and has seen several events in which it gets to stretch it's legs.

Thanks Bill, for selecting our car.
